process

I try to approach web design with clarity, transparency, and a strong commitment to my clients’ needs. My process is carefully structured to guide each project from start to finish, ensuring that every step is clearly explained and understood. By outlining the full workflow, from initial ideas to final launch, I help clients feel confident and involved throughout the development of their website. My priority is to create the best possible showcase for each project, listening closely to individual goals and delivering thoughtful, tailored solutions with honesty and care.

WHY

First, we chat about why you want a website. Sometimes a simple Instagram page or online shop is enough, no need to build something huge if we don’t have to.

Who’s it for?

We talk about the people you want to design your site for: who you want to reach, support, inspire. Knowing your audience helps shape the style, tone, and message.

What’s the budget?

Once we’re sure a website really is the right tool and WordPress makes sense, we talk money, openly and honestly.

What’s the plan?

You share a short brief: what the site needs to do, who it’s for, and the main pages you have in mind. Nothing fancy, bullet points are perfect.

DESIGN PROPOSALS

During the pre-production phase, I define the visual direction of your project. If your budget allows, I present 2–3 design proposals as screen mockups, based on your brief, brand identity, and examples of websites you like. For budgets under £1k, I design the pages directly following your brief and references.

SET UP

I create your account with an eco-friendly hosting provider (e.g., Catalyst2 or Krystal). After the hosting is confirmed, I take care of the complete WordPress setup & configuration, while you prepare the website content (texts and images) for each section/page.

PAGE DESIGN

Based on your feedback on the design proposals (if the budget allows), I begin designing your pages, customising the theme with appropriate typography and colours, and uploading optimised images, which I can edit and prepare in Photoshop when needed.

FEEDBACK – UPDATES

After designing the pages, I’ll provide a link to the draft for your review. I will then refine and update the site based on your feedback and our discussion.

SEO

When the website is ready for launch, we will optimise keywords and SEO, refining titles, headings, and introductory text to achieve the best possible search engine rankings.

LIVE

When the website is ready to go live, I will point or transfer your domain name to the new site to make it accessible online. If you don’t yet have a domain name, you can purchase one through the hosting service.

EXTRA SERVICES

I also handle additional WordPress features, including newsletter forms, WooCommerce setup, email integrations, blog functionality, and more. I can also provide support for setting up email accounts and professional email signatures.

maintenance & updates

Once the website is launched and the invoice has been paid in full, I remain available for occasional updates at £50 per hour. Any issues affecting functionality will be fixed free of charge.
